We are currently seeking a permanent Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator, and Welder to join our team. The ideal applicant will have at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification in welding and practical experience operating various fabrication and engineering workshop machinery, such as cutting, punching, folding, rolling, and bending equipment.
Candidates should demonstrate a keen eye for detail, a dedication to producing high-quality, bespoke work, and the ability to accurately document processes. This role offers an opportunity to work on custom fabrications, small production runs, and innovative design development.
Experience with technical drawings and CAD software is advantageous, as is familiarity with component preparation and coating techniques--or a willingness to learn. Basic manual machining skills are also desirable.
Compensation ranges from approximately 15 to 20 per hour, depending on experience.

Summary: As a MIG Welder and Fabricator, your key role involves fabricating and assembling metal components using your welding expertise and hand tools. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you will interpret CAD drawings and leverage your mechanical skills to ensure precise, high-quality work. Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, power tools, and MIG welding is essential, with additional skills in TIG welding being a plus. Attention to detail and basic math skills are critical to successfully completing projects, making you a valuable member of our team.
Responsibilities:
Use MIG welding equipment to produce and assemble metal parts according to specifications.
Operate hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal materials.
Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs to ensure accurate fabrication.
Conduct quality inspections on welded products to meet industry standards.
Work collaboratively with team members to improve workflow and maintain a safe working environment.
Apply basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations throughout the fabrication process.
