We are looking for experienced MIG/TIG Steel Welders with an Engineering and Manufacturing background. The skills and knowledge that we are looking to hire are as follows:
MIG/TIG Steel Welders:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components used in trailer construction
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
Operate welding equipment and tools with precision to ensure high-quality welds
Carry out fabrication, cutting, grinding and finishing of metal components
Inspect welds for strength and precision, performing necessary rework if required
Work within production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship
Follow safety procedures, ensuring PPE is worn and all tasks are completed safely
Requirements & Qualifications:
Proven experience in manufacturing and welding within an industrial setting
Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to welding
Competency in MIG and/or TIG welding techniques with experience in steel fabrication
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Due to this, and the importance of H&S, you should have a good standard of written and spoken English
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
Adherence to health and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting
Relevant welding certifications (preferred but not essential)
