Job Title: Milk Intake and Process Operative

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday 06.00 - 14.30

Job Purpose

Your Tasks

To receive bulk milk deliveries samples and test the raw milk, unload and CIP the tanker and other relevant tanks and plant, in accordance with company quality standards and scheduled cleaning programme. To process the milk to match the requirements of the plant and pass outcome to the Planning Department. To ensure that all products are produced within specification and report any out of specification results. To produce accurate computerised and manual records in a timely, efficient manner and carry out corrections when necessary in the event of a limit/test requirement being out of specification. To assist with the upkeep and maintain company plant and equipment whilst ensuring that it is kept in a hygienic condition and cleaned in accordance with cleaning plans and schedules. Responsible for checking equipment to ensure that there is no potential risk to food product safety, health and safety and for reporting any defects should they occur.

Skills we need

This is a physically demanding post. You will preferably have knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety Regulations. You will be flexible, have an eye for detail and problem solving skills. Qualifications in Food Safety Level 2, HACCP Level 2 and Manual Handling would be beneficial. You must be flexible to change shifts on occasion. Forklift licence desirable.
