is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a

Mill/Yard Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects Managing a small team Yard/Mill staff Producing monthly reports Supporting the Operations Manager Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement to help you balance work and life

Required Skills and Experience

Supervisory experience is essential A positive team player who is a strong and inclusive leader A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
