We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Mini Bar Operator to take ownership of our Mini Bar operation within our hotel. This role is key to delivering a seamless, premium guest experience through immaculate presentation, accurate billing, and exceptional stock management.



As Mini Bar Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring our mini bars are fully stocked, beautifully presented, and accurately charged at all times. You will work closely with Housekeeping and Front Office teams to ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest standards expected in our hotel.

What exactly you will be doing...


Maintain optimal par stock levels for all Mini Bar products, analysing usage trends and ordering accordingly to ensure availability at all times. Replenish Mini Bars in departure and stayover rooms promptly and efficiently, using our systems. Apply all mini bar charges accurately and in real time to ensure flawless guest billing. Coordinate with the Housekeeping and Junction teams to access rooms at appropriate times, minimising disruption and avoiding multiple room entries. Implement and maintain a product rotation system to ensure freshness and eliminate out-of-date stock. Monitor guest consumption trends and identify opportunities to refine and elevate the Mini Bar offering in collaboration with the Hotel Manager. Train and supervise cover colleagues to ensure consistent standards during days off and holiday periods.

What qualities are we looking for?

Experience in a hotel, luxury hospitality, or stock-driven environment (preferred) Confident use of systems and technology, or the ability to learn quickly Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach A passion for delivering a polished, high-end guest experience

Must-haves:

Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United Kingdom Ability to work on-site at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh for every shift. Flexibility to work different shifts, including on the weekends and holidays. Ability to lift and move stock up to 15 kg and be physically active for several hours each day.
