Overview

We are seeking 3 reliable and skilled Minibus Drivers based in the Peterborough PE3 7PS & Boston PE21 8SP areas to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring that passengers are transported efficiently and comfortably. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and staff. Early start essential.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a bus on designated routes, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition. Maintain a clean and well-organised bus interior for passenger comfort. Communicate clearly with passengers regarding stops, schedules, and any delays. Assist passengers with signing of transport sheets. Report missing staff to supervisors Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.

Experience

Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. A valid D or D1 driving licence is required, with CPC and Digi tacho card. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for performing basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle. Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with passengers and colleagues. Experience as a delivery driver or van driver may also be beneficial for this position.
