Job Description

We are looking to recruit a part time driver for a transport contract starting in the Kings Lynn area going into COWA. The contract is term time only, am and pm pick up and drop off of students from home to school and return.

Additional work sometimes available depending on staff holiday and sickness, the applicant would need to be thoughtful and kind with customers of all ages and abilities.

The driver is responsible for safely collecting and dropping off of students in a safe and timely manner, communicating effectively with the office and other members of staff should any issues arise. Safely operate the minibus to transport passengers to designated locations. Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and maintain a valid driving license. Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle. Communicate effectively with passengers and provide assistance as needed. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
The ideal candidate would possess a full clean driving licence with D1 entitlement, preferably have experience of driving contracts for Local Authorities or similar. Full training on transporting wheelchairs and our vehicles will be provided. The successful applicants offer would be subject to a clear enhanced DBS check.

Minimum of 20 hours per week, during COWA term time
