Minibus Driver

Salary:

13.05 per hour (25,185 pro rata per annum)

Contract:

Fixed term (until 17th July 2026)

Working Hours:

Part-time (10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only, 38 weeks per year). Usual working hours will be 8am until 10am.

Kingdown School is looking to appoint a confident and reliable

Driver

to cover morning minibus transport for its students. This is a fantastic, part-time opportunity to join our dedicated team and help get pupils safely to school.

Kingdown School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years. We have a strong reputation in the local community and beyond, built on an unswerving focus on the quality of teaching and learning and great pastoral care. Ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire, our school is located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a full, clean driving licence and is prepared to drive a minibus; Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff and pupils; Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills; Can prioritise and schedule effectively and efficiently; Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent; Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative; Is aware of health and safety requirements; Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
