Due to continued growth and the expansion of our Corby facility, NewCold is seeking a dedicated Mixing Manager to join our leadership team.
As Mixing Manager, you will play a key role in the coordination and oversight of our mixing operation. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of nightly operations, supporting team performance, and maintaining high operational standards.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 42.5hrs (07:00-15:30).
Salary: 30,000.00 - 35,000.00 (depending on skills & experience).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operation of the mixing function, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and compliance with operational targets.
Supervise and allocate team resources effectively to meet KPIs and service levels.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits.
Monitor quality control standards for the mixing process and take corrective actions where necessary.
Lead team briefings, shift handovers, and post-operational reviews to support effective communication and continuity.
Support team development by identifying training needs and providing coaching or upskilling opportunities.
Analyse operational data and reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with warehouse, picking, and rework teams to streamline processes and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and represent the mixing operation in wider business initiatives.
Drive a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and performance excellence across the team.
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members within the mixing area.
Manage stock control related to raw materials used in the mixing process, ensuring accurate inventory levels and reporting.
Escalate operational issues and risks to the Operations Manager in a timely and solution-focused manner.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including shift reports, absence records, and incident logs.
Support business continuity plans and play a key role during audits and customer visits.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within logistics or warehouse operations.
Strong people management and communication skills.
High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work flexibly in accordance with operational needs.
Demonstrable ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example.
