An opportunity has arisen for a Mixing Plant Operative to join award-winning manufacturer Liniar Ltd, based in Denby, Derbyshire - a subsidiary of the US-based Quanex group.

Whether you're already working in manufacturing, or looking for an exciting new challenge, Liniar is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a Mixing Plant Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in our Mixing Plant process, supporting the production of high-quality materials that power our innovative extrusion operations.

Liniar is an industry leading PVCu extrusion company, designing and supplying a large portfolio of PVCu and aluminium profiles and products to a nationwide customer base of specialist window and door manufacturers, housebuilders, decking installers, landscapers and trade outlets.

As a Mixing Plant Operative, you'll be responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of our fully automated batching system. You'll mix a variety of raw materials into precise blends that supply our Extrusion department via internal silos, hoppers, or bulk bags. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety and Housekeeping, are key to success in this role.

Main duties and responsibilities:



Follow all health and safety guidelines and report any concerns to management. Collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve team targets and customer requirements. Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area at all times. Ensure production requirements and quality standards are consistently met. Operate mixing and batching machinery efficiently and safely, following correct procedures. Receive and manage deliveries of raw materials in line with stock control processes. Carry out and record quality checks in accordance with company standards. Follow production schedules to ensure smooth workflow and timely output. Accurately log data and maintain system records.

Key skills & Knowledge:



Basic computer literacy (experience with SAP is an advantage). Strong numeracy and literacy skills. Excellent communication and listening abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and team-oriented mind Previous experience in manufacturing, especially in the uPVC or extrusion industry. Understanding of manufacturing or mixing processes (training provided). A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.

Hours of Work



Continental Night Shift pattern 5:30p.m. - 5:30a.m. 4 on, 4 off.
