Description
V.Ships Leisure is looking for Mixologist on behalf of Silversea Cruises.
The Mixologist in Silversea Cruises s responsible for ensuring the consistent execution of the company's beverage standards across the fleet. This role plays a key part in supporting the Beverage Operations team by delivering onboard training, supervising cocktail preparation, and upholding recipe accuracy and presentation standards in all bars, restaurants and lounges. Working closely with both onboard and shoreside teams, the Mixologist helps maintain the integrity of the Silversea cocktail program, ensuring each guest experience reflects the brand's commitment to quality, precision, and refined service.
Key Responsibilities

  • Beverage Development & Brand Execution.
  • Develops and maintains Silversea's signature cocktail portfolio and classic cocktail guidelines across all bars and lounges.
  • Assist Shoreside to designs beverage menus that reflect Silversea's refined luxury positioning and destination influence.
  • Conducts regular reviews of recipe execution and provides updates as needed to maintain consistency.
  • Conducts fleetwide training and onboarding for bar team members on cocktail execution, garnishing, storytelling, and guest interaction.
  • Supports daily bar operations during key events and high-traffic periods.
  • Partners with the Training & Development team to implement ongoing bartender development programs.
  • Builds and maintains a "Beverage Consistency" training module and checklist across the fleet.
  • Operational Support & Inventory Alignment.
  • Supports bar managers in assessing bar layout, garnishing setup, and equipment use for efficiency.
  • Assists with inventory reporting specific to cocktail-related items (e.g., specialty syrups, bitters, garnishes).
  • Advises on equipment usage, product selection, and low-usage SKU reduction in line with brand standards and cost control targets.
  • Works closely with the shoreside F&B team to pilot new drinks, ingredients, and concepts.
  • Keeps up to date with global mixology trends and incorporates relevant elements into the onboard program.
  • Collaborates with S.A.L.T. Bar, Dolce Vita, and other signature venues to develop bespoke activations.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Valid STCW95 certification.
  • Proven experience as Head Bartender or Senior Bartender in a luxury hotel, Michelin-starred restaurant, or cruise line.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cocktail development or mixology, preferably in a premium or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Previous cruise ship experience or international high-end bar operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, modern mixology techniques, spirits, and bar equipment.
  • WSET Spirits Level 2 (or equivalent) certification preferred
  • Physically and medically fit.
  • Moral integrity is required.
  • Fluent English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
  • Additional languages (French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin) are considered a plus.
