The Vacancy

The Mobile Brake Test Operator will be responsible for operating a mobile roller brake testing unit, travelling to various locations to conduct on-site brake performance tests on the company's HGV and trailer fleet.

Main Responsibilities

Accurately record test results using approved software or manual forms. Conduct brake tests on HGVs and trailers, including fully loaded simulations where applicable. Tramping away from home across various sites and locations operating both the Mobile Brake Test Unit and Moffett. DVSA-compliant brake test results completed and submitted promptly. Improved audit readiness through consistent and traceable brake test records. Undertaking HGV Driver duties for the Flatbed Division as and when required.

Skills/Knowledge

Flatbed experience (preferred) Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively Strong organisational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines Load and unload securely and efficiently, ensuring proper securing techniques are applied Adhere to all traffic laws, road regulations and road safety standards while operating the vehicle Have construction logistics knowledge /experience (preferred) Have good communication skills to quickly understand instructions including movement orders and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers

Qualifications

Vehicle Mounted Forklift Licence (Moffett) - (preferred) Experience using a Mobile Brake Test Unit - (preferred) Full UK HGV C+E driving licence 2 years HGV driving experience Current CPC Driver qualification card (DQC)
