Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional hospitality and support during events. This position requires a passion for food and service, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

This position is to work with us at off site events and potentially some on site events

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for events and functions. Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering equipment and work areas. Support the catering team in setting up and dismantling event spaces, ensuring all items are accounted for. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met. Collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Skills

Previous experience in catering or hospitality is highly desirable. Strong serving skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices. Experience in a restaurant environment is an advantage. Barista experience is beneficial, particularly for events requiring beverage service. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues alike. Pay: 12.21-16.45 per hour
