Relief Catering Manager - Schools - SO51 and surrounding area - multi site

Term time only

30 hours per week

Monday to Friday

15 per hour

Mileage paid at 40p per mile

Driving license and own car required

Sept 1st start.

This position would require added value events to be undertaken as well as the supporting of the daily catering in the kitchens, covering absence. ie parents evenings, cookery demonstrations with children, running assembly presentations to children. Good knowledge of health and safety and what is expected, a self starter that can lead and guide existing teams

Additional Duties:

- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards- Oversee and assist kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking- Ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes- Monitor food quality and taste for consistency- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines- Collaborate with the chef to develop new menu items- Train new kitchen staff members Qualifications: - Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting - Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures - Ability to work well in a team environmentIf you have a passion for cooking, possess strong leadership skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, we would love to hear from you.
