Job Description

Overview


We are seeking a reliable and proactive Mobile Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting logistics, operational activities and the delivery of the Hearing Support, Aural Care and Audiology Services, and the Cuppa Care Project, with particular responsibility for the running of mobile clinics on a peripatetic basis from various locations across the county of Norfolk.

The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to efficient service delivery and operational success.

Principal duties:



1. To provide administrative assistance onboard by:

meeting and greeting patients/service users

checking their personal details and obtaining any missing information

obtaining the Procedure and Data Protection consents

processing payments for the procedure

collecting the post-procedure/post-support feedback from patients

providing advice and information to patients and their families/carers regarding other Hear for Norfolk services.

2. To be responsible for stock control and for replenishing the content of the clinical and hearing aid repair kits and information leaflets on the vehicle.

3. To oversee the work and provide support to on-board volunteers (if volunteers are involved in the service delivery) and other personnel from outside/other agencies.

4. To provide administrative and practical support to nursing and audiology staff.

5. To be responsible for keeping detailed and accurate patient's records, including the monthly monitoring data on service performance and effectiveness of the service provided.

6. To be responsible for the driving, cleanliness, infection control and upkeep of the vehicles (mobile clinic) and the on-board equipment.

7. To comply with all driving procedures (i.e.. Fleet Check) and standards.

8. To ensure the safety and comfort of staff, volunteers and patients whilst using the vehicle.

9. To be responsible for preparation of the vehicle and equipment in readiness for service delivery, including refuelling.

10. To work closely with line manager to report any vehicle faults.

11. To signpost patients/service users to other appropriate sources of help and assistance when necessary.

12. To assist the Chief Executive and the Executive Assistant with the Charity's income generation programmes.

13. To market and promote the service to the general public, General Practices and other health and social care providers across Norfolk.

14. To ensure that all responsibilities and activities undertaken within the post are consistent with the terms and spirit of Hear for Norfolk's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures.

15. To be available to assist in other areas of the charity's work and assist other service managers as needs arise.

Qualifications



Good standard of education (GCSE grade C and above, A levels grade C and above, NVQ, Certificates and Diplomas)

Other Requirements



A positive and flexible attitude to change and development in the service Full clean driving licence and access to a car
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 25.5 per week
