Boden Fire and Security, provides a specialist supply, installation and facilities maintenance service to Ministry of Defence sites and a range of other customers across the South West and South East.

We are seeking a Mobile Electrician to join our Fire and Security team in the South West. This is a mobile role covering varied sites across our delivery areas.

Main Duties of the role:

Install, commission, and service fire alarm, intruder, and access control systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Install domestic and industrial electrical systems. Inspect and test electrical components to identify potential hazards and malfunctions. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using technical expertise. Take ownership and accountability for delivering projects from initiation through to handover. Collaborate effectively with team members to implement fire and security solutions for clients. Provide training to clients on the proper use of fire and security systems upon installation. Accurately complete and maintain daily work records and certificates using a digital tablet. Be available for on-call duties, responding promptly to emergency situations and technical issues. Continuously develop expertise by participating in required training. Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring the wellbeing of yourself and colleagues by attending toolbox talks and reporting hazards via our safety portal. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant British Standards and industry best practices

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

A recognised apprenticeship with relevant experience as a fully qualified electrician and/or an appropriate City and Guilds/NVQ in an Electrical discipline City and Guilds IEE 18th Edition Regulations Up to date knowledge of latest legislation Recognised experience within the Fire and Security sector Full valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable:

City and Guilds 2391, 2394 or 2395 Testing and Inspection FIA Training IPAF PASMA Compex Previous experience working in an MoD background is advantageous.
