Join us as a Mobile Engineer

This is an opportunity for a technically minded Mobile Engineer to join Mettle and help build and develop the Mettle mobile application You'll be developing features and solving complex problems, and providing technical coaching and oversight to other engineers in the team If you're self-motivated, with a passion for business and technology innovation and enhancing customer experiences, this could be your ideal role

What you'll do

Joining one of our mission teams, you'll write custom JavaScript and identify when an off-the-shelf solution may be more suitable. You'll be working with stakeholders across the business to drive the direction of mobile development and put the long-term interests of our customers at the heart of key decisions.


You'll also:

Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well tested and easy to maintain and extend Collaborate across our mobile chapter to uphold standards and best practices Support other engineers to develop and grow, and act as a subject matter expert

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you'll need a background in software engineering with a passion for crafting well-tested and maintainable software. You'll be self-motivated with experience of both business and technology innovation, as well as designing and building solutions that cater to a wide user base. You'll also bring the ability to identify the needs of the user and apply this understanding to enhance the overall customer experience.


You'll also need:

Experience of delivering software as part of an agile team Excellent programming skills in JavaScript, preferably with TypeScript and GraphQL experience In-depth knowledge of the React and React Native frameworks * A good understanding of the Android and iOS platforms
