Mobile Generator Engineer
Job Description
This position is for a mobile generator engineer. The role is for someone with a mechanical background looking for a career in a diesel power generation industry. This role will include on site servicing, Diagnosing and repairing of customers owned and company owned equipment. Machine sizes range from 20- 1250KVA running a wide variety of engines such as John Deere, Perkins, Cummins, FPT, Volvo, Kubota, Kohler ect so experience with these engines would be advantageous.
You will also require some Workshop based work at our refurbishment and repair depot based in Fobbing this will include a wide variety of work such as stripping machines down, removing alternators, radiators, stripping engines for overhaul, servicing, PDI's, Diagnosing and Repairing of Generators.
The ideal candidate will be flexible in their work undertaken, be willing to work as part of team/ be confident taking the lead in situations and also be comfortable working on your own. Candidate must also be able to communicate efficiently with office staff and customers, ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manor and be professional when representing the company on site.
Qualifications
- 5 Years experience in diesel industry
- Mechanical Engineering (NVQ)
- Electrical qualifications (advantageous)
- Fork lift truck tickets (advantageous)
Responsibilities
Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on mobile generators to ensure optimal performance. Utilize mechanical engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. Perform inspections and diagnostics to identify potential problems and implement solutions. Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in generator technology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 38,000.00-45,000.00 per year
