Tyre Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Technician to join our team based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is a Monday-Friday job with every other Saturday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on our HGV vehicles & Trailers. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Tyre Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of our vehicles.

Responsibilities

Perform tyre installations, repairs, and rotations on a variety of vehicles. Conduct thorough inspections of tyres to identify wear patterns and potential issues. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of tyres as required. Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Keep accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tyre servicing. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
