Mobile LGV Mechanic/Fitter

A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified LGV Mechanic/Fitter.

As we have a significant fleet of LGVs, which operate throughout the country, we need qualified mechanics to carry out repairs and planned maintenance at our sites and at the roadside. The position will be based out of our Bo'ness depot, but you will spend a significant amount of time on the road.

You will repair and maintain LGV units and a varied range of trailers including walking floors, timber cranes, tippers and curtain sided trailers.

The ideal applicant will have experience of maintaining LGVs whilst making the best use of time and resources.

Hours of work are negotiable but worked during dayshift, mainly Monday to Friday inclusive. Due to the nature of the role, there may be a requirement for some weekend work.

Ideally you will come from a time served LGV background having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications. More importantly you will have experience of working in an LGV workshop or being a mobile fitter. Holding a HGV C+E licence would be advantageous.

Our Bo'ness depot is located at Bridgeness Road, Bo'ness, EH51 9LH.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
