Mobile Libraries and Delivery Manager | 8393 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | 33,366 to 35,235 per annum (Scale H) | Hethersett
We are looking for an experienced and committed manager to lead the Mobile Library and Library Delivery Service, key parts of the Norfolk Library and Information Service in Norfolk.
You will be responsible for our Mobile Library service, which visits individuals and groups in over 500 villages across the county, using a fleet of five vehicles, as well as The Delivery Service that transports material between library buildings in Norfolk using two commercial vehicles.
This is an excellent opportunity for a person from a transport / logistics background who wants to broaden their skills and gain experience working with the library service.
You will need to demonstrate an ability to manage yourself effectively, whilst working with other people in a challenging, customer focussed environment and have the self-belief to be able to do this effectively. You will need to be able to lead and inspire others, have a 'can-do' approach and be able to manage change in a timely way.
Working from our headquarters in Hethersett, working hours are normally Tuesday to Thursday 8:30am to 6pm, Friday 8:30am to 5pm plus alternate Mondays from 9am to 6pm (with an hour for lunch each day).
There is also the potential for the successful candidate to do the Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence qualification.
