We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile Maintenance Engineer with a Plumbing Bias to join our team at EWC. This mobile role involves working across multiple client sites and requires a professional with a strong plumbing background and excellent fault-finding and maintenance skills. Responsibilities include planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor project works, particularly on heating and hot water systems, with a focus on L8 compliance. The role also requires participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota and flexibility to work outside core hours to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
The Mobile Maintenance Engineer (Plumbing bias) will report to the PPM Contracts Manager, the Head of Mechanical Maintenance, the Director of Maintenance, and ultimately to the managing director and Chairwoman if required due to the absence of the other hierarchy
DUTIES
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
Responding to breakdowns
Diagnosing faults
Repairing equipment
Supervising engineering apprentices
Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
Maintaining accurate records
Ensuring compliance with company/health and safety legislation
Creating maintenance procedures
Managing van stocks of supplies and equipment
Out of Hours Rota 'on-call' work
To develop an extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical building services and a good understanding of their interfaces with general building works associated with them.
To gain knowledge of the EWC employee's handbook, EWC policies and processes and EWC ISO system of works.

SKILLS
Substantial practical experience required: plumbing maintenance in a domestic/industrial/commercial scenario.
Must have relevant mechanical qualifications.

Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills to a variety of situations.
Full - Clean driving licence that enables the person to drive in the UK.
Ability to establish good relationships with internal and external team members.
Good levels of verbal and written communication skills.
