Job Description

We are currently looking for Mobile Park Rangers to join our successful Parks and Open spaces team to help maintain our award-winning parks throughout the busy spring and summer seasons.

As a Mobile Park Ranger, you will play a key role in ensuring that Redbridge parks remain safe, clean, and well-maintained during peak evening hours. You will be responsible for locking parks, carrying out maintenance tasks, and engaging with the community to uphold safety standards.

Located at the heart of Redbridge communities, our parks and open spaces host a range of diverse events throughout the year including music, fairgrounds, sporting events and community events. Alongside this our parks and open spaces are used all the time for dog walking, picnics, exercising, sports, bike riding, reading and various other activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Park Security & Locking Duties - Secure parks and facilities during evening closures. Litter Picking & Cleansing - Keep parks clean and inviting for visitors. General Park Maintenance - Use power tools and equipment for upkeep. Public Engagement - Interact with park users and support community events. Health & Safety Compliance - Conduct routine safety checks and report issues. Reliable Communication & Responsiveness - Be dependable, approachable, and responsive to calls, ensuring timely support and coordination during shifts.

Essential Requirements:

Experience in park maintenance or similar outdoor work. Valid driving licence (Essential - this is a mobile role). Work during evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal hours Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
