Location: Birmingham

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Hours: 42 hours per week (includes days, nights, and weekends)

As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you will:

Perform patrols, inspections, and incident response services across multiple client sites

Provide a visible security presence and protect customer property and assets

Check for hazards, security violations, and unauthorized personnel

Inspect buildings, grounds, and security devices

Lock/unlock premises and monitor security systems

Key Areas of the Role-Purpose

As a Mobile Security Officer, the role involves:

Providing mobile security services and client service excellence across multiple sites within a designated geographical area. Performing tasks such as: + Locks/unlocks
+ Escort services
+ Alarm responses
+ Vacant property inspections
+ Patrols
+ Other mobile services as directed by the Deputy Branch Manager

Responsibilities

Mobile Security Services:

Deliver a range of services including locks/unlocks, internal/external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services.

Professional Conduct:

Maintain professionalism and helpful attitude toward clients and colleagues.

Team Direction:

Follow instructions from Team Leaders and collaborate effectively.

Uniform and Identification:

Always wear company uniform and display SIA licence and ID card.

Vehicle Management:

Complete vehicle handovers at start and end of shifts.

Safe Driving:

Follow Highway Code, drive carefully, and maintain company reputation.

Key Management:

Follow correct key management processes.

Assignment Completion:

Follow site instructions and dynamic risk assessments.

Incident Escalation:

Follow proper escalation for incidents, break-ins, health/safety issues, and traffic accidents.

Reporting:

Use GRS/SMP correctly for accurate data capture and reporting.

Compliance:

Follow SOP13 and SOP18, understand driver's handbook.

Flexibility:

Be willing to work across Branch Guarding districts and assist other branches.

Asset Security:

Secure company assets like PDAs and dashcams.

Additional Responsibilities

Incident Reporting:

Escalate incidents, risks, breakdowns, and RTAs (Road Traffic Accidents) to the Team Leader, following company policy.

Person Specification (Essential)

Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential. Minimum one year of mobile security experience preferred but not essential. Full UK Driving Licence. Valid SIA Front Line Licence. Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good verbal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
