Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mobile Plant Mechanic located in Ruislip. The Mobile Plant Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of construction plant machinery. Day-to-day tasks will include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The role requires the ability to work independently and conduct thorough inspections to prevent and troubleshoot mechanical failures.
Qualifications
o Proficiency in mechanical diagnostics, equipment maintenance, and repair
o Experience with construction plant machinery such as excavators, dumpers, and rollers
o Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
o Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
o Formal plant mechanical training or certification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) is a plus
o Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is advantageous
o LOLER inspection experience desirable
o Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently, following company and industry standards
