We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plumbing Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients undertaking inspection and repairs across a variety of commercial plumbing and drainage installations, including Pipework inspections, adaptions, and repairs.
You should be capable of working to the highest level of service for the client, answering queries, reporting any defects, and keeping them informed of site activities at the time of the service visit. You will also be required to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
You will have knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working, have good verbal and written communication and be physically able to carry out the fuller duties detailed in the job description.
The ideal candidate would have a background within Maintenance / Facilities Management environment or similar and be to either C&G Level 2 / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent / technical diploma.
Main Duties
Provide operational support, information and reports as requested by the Supervisor
Escalate to the Supervisor early warning of defects
Provide cover for other engineers when required
Undertake routine PPM tasks in accordance with the SFG20 framework
To complete 100% PPM's in month
To complete reactive maintenance in line with contract SLA
Repair Leaks Remove blockages to urinals, toilets, foul & rainwater drainage systems. Repairs to all types of sanitaryware.
Repairs to pipework & valves etc. Undertake small installation works.
Undertake repairs to mechanical plant
Undertake small electrical repairs such as lamp replacement
Ensure breached Reactive works& quoted works are dealt with immediately.
Complete Work Record Sheets and certification as necessary.
All jobs to be logged and status updated via PDA with supporting comments.
To undertake escort duties of sub-contractors where required To issue Permit to Work as required To attend site meetings & training Procure materials and equipment to carry out works Ensure the clients premises are maintained to the highest standard by taking a proactive approach to repairs Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration To be part of a callout rota with additional remuneration. Ensure that all company issued equipment is kept in excellent condition (Vehicle, Ladders, Tools, PPE, Equipment) To ensure Mitie's and the client's operational procedures are adhered to at all times. Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure continued satisfaction, creating positive relationships, identifying potential problems early and giving the necessary management discretion and support to put them back on track Identification & reporting of health & safety risks. Target of reporting 1 hazard per month Adapting to current and new technology to support your role and service delivery Supporting project teams as and when required Assisting and supporting learning and development of new starters / apprentices as and when required
Level 2/3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
Water Hygiene L8 Awareness
Ideally served a recognised trade apprenticeship / training scheme
Sound knowledge of building services
