Role Overview
BT Local Business Liverpool is strengthening its mobile capability as part of our continued growth as a
BT/EE partner
. We are recruiting
two Mobile Sales Specialists
to support and accelerate our mobile performance, with a particular focus on
small to mid-sized mobile opportunities
.
This role has been created following
internal success and promotion
within our mobile team. The Mobile Sales Specialist will work closely with desk-based sales teams, converting mobile opportunities efficiently and consistently, while also proactively creating their own opportunities by contacting customers directly.
The role offers a
clear internal progression pathway
into field-based sales roles, demonstrated by recent internal promotions. High performers will have the opportunity to progress into a field-based role selling across the full BT portfolio, including mobile, connectivity, cloud, and digital solutions, to new and existing customers across Liverpool, Chester & North Wales.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and convert B2B mobile sales opportunities, from lead to close
Convert desk-based and internally generated mobile leads, ensuring fast response times and high conversion rates
Proactively generate new opportunities by contacting existing and prospective customers
Work closely with desk-based sales teams to support mobile conversations and follow-up activity
Provide expert guidance on BT/EE mobile products, tariffs, and propositions
Build strong internal relationships to encourage regular engagement and lead referrals
Liaise with field sales colleagues on larger or more complex opportunities when required
Maintain accurate records of opportunities, activity, and outcomes within CRM systems
Ensure all sales activity is compliant with BT and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in B2B sales (telecoms or mobile experience desirable but not essential)
Confidence managing both inbound leads and self-generated opportunities
Strong communication, organisation, and follow-up skills
A proactive, enthusiastic approach with a genuine sales mindset
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment
Comfortable working in a hybrid role, with occasional customer visits
Salary, Benefits & Working Pattern
Basic salary: 30,000 (progression up to 36,000)
OTE: 48,000 (uncapped commission)
Salary reviews after 6 months, subject to achieving agreed performance targets

Working pattern: Hybrid (office based in Burscough, L40 0SD)
Travel:
o Access to a pool car for customer visits, or
o Use of own vehicle with mileage paid at 45p per mile
