MOBILE SERVICE ENGINEER

Whilst our core business is to design and build cool machines we also have a service side to the business. We have a small team of mobile service engineers that travel usually within a 50 mile radius of Northampton servicing and carrying out planned maintenance on a range of specialist vehicles and plant machinery.

This is not your usual service engineer's job where you are run ragged flying from breakdown to breakdown constantly chasing the clock. This job is all planned. It's booked in advance and we could tell you where you'll be days in advance.

The perfect candidate will tick all the boxes below

At least 3 years experience in a similar role working on engines and transmissions Have a clean UK driving licence Professional attitude liaising with customers onsite Be comfortable working on your own outside Have their own basic toolkit (we provide the specialist equipment) Keen to crack on and get the job done (no knuckle draggers please)*
Be physically fit - this can be quite an active job at times

So what will your day look like?

6.00AM - Leave home and head to site for your first job

6.45 AM- Arrive at site, sign in and locate machine. Carry out service and inspection using the stock onboard your van

10.30 AM - Finish the first job and get tidied away. Paperwork signed off and pick a coffee up from the onsite facilities.

11.10AM Leave site and travel to the next job.

11.30 Arrive at the next site. Sign in and find the next machines. Service and inspect 1 machine, inspect the second and carry out some planned repairs

13.30PM - Stop for a half hour break for lunch

3.45pm - Return machines to service and get tidied up. Carry out paperwork

4.00PM - Head back to yard

4.30PM - Arrive at yard and empty van of waste oils etc. Load the van up for the following day and hand paperwork in to the office.

5.15PM Leave the yard and head home

5.50 PM Arrive home

We pay for this important position 45,000 per year

What else do you need to know..

We are based on a farm in Brixworth, this is where you will come to collect parts for the work you do. Paid holidays and Bank Holidays We pay a full time salary but you only work Monday to Thursday - Fridays can be an option for overtime if you want it. We have two social events throughout the year for you and your partner to let your hair down on us ! We're looking for someone to be in-situ and ready as soon as possible - your van's waiting for you.
