Tire Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with various hand and power tools. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Duties

Perform tyre installations, rotations, and repairs on vehicles. Inspect tyres for wear and damage, providing recommendations for replacement when necessary. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct wheel alignments and balancing as required. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Assist in heavy lifting of tyres and equipment as needed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding tyre options and services.

Requirements

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive repair preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as part of daily duties. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
