Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mobile Waste Operative to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency within our waste management operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the proper handling and disposal of waste materials, contributing to a sustainable environment and supporting our commitment to effective waste management practices.

Duties

Operate waste collection vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. Collection from vessels, loading and unloading of waste materials to vehicle, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Transporting waste back to waste transfer station or other disposal sites. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including vehicles and equipment, to uphold health and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and objectives. Liaise with Operations office to obtain work for the day. Complete all relevant paperwork (whether electronic or paper based) and feed back to the Operations office. Report any issues or hazards encountered during operations to the supervisor promptly. Obey waste heirarchy and any site rules.

Skills

Must hold full driving licence, which includes up to 3.5t vehicles. Experience operating and maintaining waste collection equipment effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading of waste materials. Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting of issues. A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
