The Role

Meadow Mobility Ltd are looking to employ a new mobility service engineer. This is an essential, hands-on role for a mechanically and electrically-minded individual who is eager to deliver exceptional customer service in the field.

Key Responsibilities
Your main duties will revolve around the service, maintenance, repair and delivery of a wide range of mobility equipment, both in our fully-equipped workshop and at customer locations.
Service and Repair: Perform diagnostics, routine servicing, maintenance, and complex repairs on mobility products, including:
Mobility Scooters
Power Chairs
Manual Wheelchairs
Stairlifts
Hoists
Riser Recliner Chairs
Field Work: Attend customer appointments to diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns in the field.
Workshop Operations: Prepare new equipment for delivery, conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI), and refurbish used products for sale.
Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly and compassionately with customers regarding equipment status, work performed, and technical advice.
Essential Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to meet the following criteria.
Driving Licence:A full UK driving licence. This role will involve daily driving to customer site in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Greater London and London.
Diagnostic Skills:A practical thinker with the ability to quickly diagnose and fault-find issues.
Technical Expertise:Proven practical experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering (e.g., in the mobility, automotive, or related service industries).
Organisational Skills:The ability to manage your own workload, follow schedules efficiently, and complete documentation accurately. You must have the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
Customer Focus:Excellent communication skills with a patient, empathetic approach, especially when dealing with elderly and less-abled customers.
Physically Fit:This is a physical, hands-on role that will involve an element of heavy lifting.
What We Offer:
Job Type: Full time - Permanent
Salary: Starting from 26,250.00 (Negotiable, depending on experience)
Hours: 08:30 to 17:30 (April to September). 08:30 to 17:00 (October to March)
Schedule: Monday to Friday. Plus 1 x Saturday morning shift per month (paid as overtime)
Holiday: 20 days per year, plus bank holidays
