Base: Edinburgh or Glasgow Hubs with the flexibility to work from home

About the role

Sustrans have a new and exciting opportunity as a Mobility Planner, where you will contribute to strategic transport plans that increase accessibility to improved mobility, safety and sustainable intermodal transport options across Scotland.

The Mobility Planner will work across teams and with partners to support active travel infrastructure programme development. Day to day tasks could include developing tools to prioritise infrastructure project delivery, supporting the development of the Scotland , and providing strategic support for projects in the Places for Everyone programme including Active Travel Strategy and cycle network plan development.

You\'ll be joining a diverse Design, Engineering and Assurance Department, who are highly skilled, passionate about what we do and enjoy sharing our learning and experiences within the team and beyond.

About you

You should have experience of working on projects with extensive stakeholder engagement and the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.

You are able to think strategically and confident dealing scoping out route networks and area-based interventions.

You should be skilled in data analysis, including analysis of spatial data using GIS software.

We ask you demonstrate your knowledge of guidance and best practice in healthy street design including inclusive design and holistic approach to design.
