Role description



The Irvine business unit has manufactured glass containers for over 100 years and is part of a leading supplier in glass packaging solutions for the world's leading brands. We are seeking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of a number of Apprentices at Ardagh Glass Irvine.



Our apprenticeship programme gives you the opportunity to experience all engineering departments within the plant whilst attending college, gain a nationally recognised qualification & carry out workplace training in a challenging yet exciting manufacturing industry!



Responsibilities:



Assisting the engineering teams with maintenance tasks Learning about the application of engineering within manufacturing Developing skills in Electrical/Mechanical engineering Gaining a sound knowledge of the plant equipment and facilities Developing an understanding of Continuous Improvement Familiarisation with the company's systems and procedures Sourcing and updating engineering documentation and inputting engineering activities into a maintenance system

Required skills / qualifications:



Have an inquisitive and questioning mind, and a desire to learn from others Have an interest in manufacturing engineering Have an eye for accuracy and attention to detail, and be able to work to high quality standards Be confident and have the ability to work independently, in an organised way Have strong communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team

What we offer:



Salary Minimum Year 1 13,633 - 23,371 Maximum Year 4

Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions

Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week., plus 25 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
