We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and dynamic Modern Matron to lead clinical and operational practice within our eighteen-bedded Child and Adolescent Inpatient Ward on a full time basis. This senior leadership role is central to maintaining patient safety and delivering effective, evidence-based care for young people with complex mental health needs.

Provide visible leadership to nursing staff, maintaining high clinical standards in line with CQC and QNIC expectations, and drive quality improvement initiatives across inpatient services.

Involve patients and carers in care planning, respond promptly to feedback or complaints, and ensure dignity, respect, and privacy are upheld in all aspects of care.

Manage safe staffing levels, support recruitment and retention, oversee rotas, and lead supervision, training, and professional development for nursing teams.

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment through infection prevention, ligature risk management, and compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements.

Monitor and review clinical standards, lead on investigations, safeguard young people, and contribute to service planning, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
