Job Title: Module Tutor Animal Management

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term - 31st July 2026



Salary: 27,197- 29,676 per annum



About the role:



We currently have an exciting opportunity for a module tutor to join our Animal Management Department at our York Campus. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working with others and is responsible, passionate and knowledgeable about the overall animal management sector and has an enthusiastic approach to teaching.

The role will be 37 working hours per week, on a fixed term basis.

We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for Reporting to the Curriculum Team Leader, and delivering across Level 2 and Level 3 provisions.

Responsibilities include the day to day administration and tracking of the students, providing academic support and study skills as necessary and teaching a variety of modules across the department. Sector experience and knowledge specifically in animal welfare will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:



Drive teaching excellence, delivering high-quality teaching (with agreed remission), and supporting the implementation of the Teaching, Learning & Assessment policy.

Ensure quality and consistency through internal verification, moderation processes, and liaison with awarding bodies and external verifiers.

Develop strategic partnerships, representing the department internally and externally, and building strong links with schools, HEIs, employers, and other educational bodies.

Support student development, managing behaviour and expectations, coordinating CPD and work placements, and leading student appraisals.

Lead and contribute to events, including enrolment, open evenings, and cross-college marketing activities.
