Job Description

We have an exciting role working as part of the delivery team for the 2022 - 2026 Monitor Farm Scotland Programme. The role will support QMS' work with levy payers and industry stakeholders in helping to improve the economic, environmental, and social sustainability of the farms in the programme as well as overseeing the communications outputs from the programme.

The key responsibilities are below:

Working with the Monitor Farm Programme Manager and in parallel to two other Regional Advisers, develop and deliver the Monitor Farm Scotland Programme Build close working relationships with three different Monitor Farm teams Assuming responsibility for the development and delivery of 3 different Monitor Farm's outputs as part of the South Regional Cluster Budgetary, and logistical responsibility for programme expenditure Developing benchmarking, and data gathering protocols and ensure they are delivered consistently Co-ordinate and lead on the delivery of the calendar of outputs and events for all three Monitor Farms in your Cluster Ensuring regular communications with your Monitor Farmers, the Programme Manager, and other Regional Advisers Facilitating programme meetings between operational members and stakeholders Develop and deliver communications from activity in your cluster using published content and social media Work as part of the wider team to compile and develop industry-leading materials for the wider industry
More than ever, the red meat sector is a dynamic, fast-paced field to work in and this is an exciting time to join the latest incarnation of the Monitor Farm Scotland Programme as it looks to develop a bold vision for the Scottish red meat sector and provide producers, processors, and consumers with the tools we need to drive the industry forward.

This role is full-time and runs as a temporary contract for a total length of 1 year.

QMS is now an organisation that works from home, however we still have an office based in the outskirts of Edinburgh for team projects and collaborative working, so there is also a great deal of flexibility on location.

Salary/ Benefits - Band 5 currently 43,193 per annum plus 10% company pension contribution, enhanced sickness and maternity pay schemes, death in service benefit and 36 days holiday per year, including statutory holidays (pro rata)
