Overview

The Montessori House is a warm, nurturing environment dedicated to authentic Montessori education.
We are seeking a

Montessori Directress

who is passionate about early childhood development, able to lead a small team, and committed to creating a calm, purposeful classroom that supports every child's growth in line with Montessori principles and the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a safe, calm, and inspiring Montessori environment Lead and support assistants in daily classroom activities Observe and record each child's progress in line with Montessori and EYFS guidance Build positive relationships with parents and communicate effectively Uphold safeguarding standards and report concerns promptly Participate in parent evenings, staff meetings, and professional development Contribute to classroom preparation, housekeeping, and nursery events

Skills & Qualifications

AMI or equivalent Montessori Diploma (essential) Minimum 2 years' experience in an early years or Montessori setting (new graduates welcome) Good knowledge of the EYFS framework Excellent written and spoken English; French is an advantage Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills Genuine passion for child development and respect for the child's individuality
