A great opportunity has become available for a Breakfast cook to join the team at B+B Edinburgh.

B+B Edinburgh is a privately-owned boutique bed and breakfast hotel. The B+B concept is the brainchild of a group of like-minded professional hoteliers who have rewritten the rules, and created a new style of bed and breakfast hotel for the 21st century.

As well as stylish, comfortable bedrooms and delicious breakfasts, we are fully licensed. We have 27 bedrooms, ranging from smaller rooms for single occupancy to large family suites. The glorious Findlay Room creates a unique space for meetings and events.

About the role

- Preparing & presenting high quality food dishes.

- Make sure the correct amount of goods has been ordered and stored correctly

- Report any hazards or any equipment out or order to the Duty Manager

- Makes sure all goods are used in strict rotation

- Adapts work to fluctuations in volume of guests, to special events and particular guests

- Helps receive deliveries and tidies food items according to storage guidelines

- Responsible for the high standard of the dishes prepared

- Helps keep the equipment used in good condition

- Cleans and tidies the workplace, kitchen and restaurant after service

- Avoids wasting food items

- Helps with inventories

- To understand and comply with food hygiene regulations.

- To follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in every aspect.

- To attend all statutory training as required by the Company

- Clean and tidy public area

- 6am - 2pm 5 days of 7

Candidate specification:

Previous experience in a similar role. Excellent food hygiene knowledge. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work well as part of a team. Good organisational & communication skills. To be quality driven and want to help develop new ideas. Want to provide a fantastic customer experience for all our guests. Have a "Can Do" Attitude
Applicants should have a pleasant personality and positive attitude. Applicants must also be numerate, well-spoken and be able to communicate in written and spoken English.

This position gives an excellent grounding to progress in the hospitality industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From 12.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
