We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and proactive
Hotel Porter
to join our team. You'll play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay by providing exceptional service and support across multiple departments.
You will work 4 or 5 days out of 7 - majority of shifts will be 7am to 2pm. This position is
not
live-in.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport group luggage to and from guest rooms.
Collect used linen, glassware, and trays from guest floors.
Deliver items such as duvets, mattress covers, and additional bedding.
Assist with room preparation (interconnecting doors, cots, mobility aids, etc.).
Place welcome amenities (e.g. wine, chocolates, flowers) in rooms prior to arrival.
Deliver room service orders promptly and professionally.
Set up and serve refreshments in meeting rooms and for group events.
Handle money transfers to the bank; manage post using franking machine and mailbox.
Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, room issue troubleshooting).
Keep public areas clean and tidy; sweep and litter-pick hotel entrance and car park.
Provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
Follow all health and safety protocols.
Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is dependable, physically fit, customer-service oriented, and flexible with shift patterns. Previous experience in a hotel or customer-facing role is an advantage but not essential.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 28 - 36 per week
