At Lakes Mortgages, we are currently seeking Mortgage Administrator who is looking to build a future career within financial services; We're a small but very busy Mortgage Brokerage, with a business spanning over 30 years, who can offer career progression opportunities within the company, to any candidate who is willing to show long term loyalty to the business, and support us during our ongoing expansion and importantly, be part of a strong team.
We offer a relaxed and very friendly office environment with on hand support from both the lead Broker and the administration staff.
Salary quoted is pro-rata and is dependent upon experience and hours agreed.
Duties
Providing administrative support for Lakes Mortgages
First point of contact for clients, providers and solicitors
Processing mortgage and Life Insurance applications from application to completion
Instructing solicitors and providing relevant documentation
Liaising with Providers, Solicitors & Clients
Chasing updates via email, telephone and online portals and ensure case notes are fully updated
Ensure all client information is stored on the Lakes Mortgages system and is updated accurately and check fully compliant
Issuing documentation to clients within agreed timescales
Dealing with telephone, email and postal enquiries
Payments for advisors on a monthly basis
Compliance checking of files
Skills
Proficiency in basic maths to assist with financial services tasks.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous experience in a mortgage administrative role is advantageous
but not essential
as training will be provided.
