About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive
Senior
Mortgage Administrator
to oversee the end-to-end administration process of mortgage applications within our dynamic mortgage brokerage.
This pivotal role involves working in a small team, ensuring smooth and compliant processing of mortgage cases, and working closely with the Directors to continuously improve operational efficiency and client service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team leadership & oversight
Take the lead on all things connected with mortgage administration, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Allocate workloads effectively to ensure the timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications.
Oversee the full lifecycle of mortgage administration, from application submission to completion.
Ensure all documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Monitor pipeline progress and proactively resolve any administrative bottlenecks.
Act as the key point of contact between the administration team and the Directors.
Collaborate with mortgage brokers to ensure all necessary documentation is received and processed efficiently.
Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and clients to facilitate smooth case progression.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulations and ensure all administrative processes adhere to compliance standards.
Conduct regular audits of case files and implement improvements where necessary.
Provide regular updates and reports to Directors on case progress and team performance.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the client experience.
Key Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years proven experience in mortgage administration within a mortgage broker environment.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role [advantageous but not essential]
Strong understanding of mortgage products, application processes, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
CeMAP qualification or equivalent (advantageous but not essential).
What We Offer
Competitive Salary:
40,000 - 42,000 (depending on experience) plus performance bonus up to 10% of salary.

22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
