Patrick James Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Administrator (Paraplanner) to join the team!

The role will involve submitting mortgage applications, speaking to clients via telephone, emails and WhatsApp, chasing lenders for updates when required, lender research and calculators ready for the advisers, front of house admin (booking in clients etc.) - this list is not exhaustive and other tasks will be required as and when required to assist the business and staff members.

We are a small, friendly mortgage broker firm based in Appleby in Westmorland, which is in the stunning Eden Valley in Cumbria. We deal with clients locally in Cumbria as well as nationally, whilst always providing that friendly and approachable service. We have a team of two mortgage advisers, backed up by excellent support staff and a very slick and modern CRM system (which was designed by our very own Director!)

Skills Required:

Ideally have at least 3 years minimum experience working within the Financial Services industry, and with a good knowledge of Mortgages and terminology. Training will be given on our systems though! (However we will be open to a minimum of 1 years experience for the perfect candidate but you must prove a sound knowledge of mortgage lenders and terminology) Incredibly well organised and can cope well under high levels of stress at times, as well as being self-driven. Excellent IT Skills Have good telephone banter to build a solid rapport with our clients. Competent and quick at learning new systems. Friendly & Approachable. Strong team player with a good sense of humour! Excellent attention to detail. Be passionate about our Armed Forces.

What Can We Offer You?

Very good starting salary of between 30,000 - 40,000 depending on experience, with team bonuses given throughout the year. Monday - Friday 5 day week with no weekends. 40 hours per week (Hours can be flexible to fit around personal & business needs) Once you have passed our induction training (2 weeks office based), we would consider home working if this would be preferred, however you must be able to commit to coming to our head office in Appleby in Cumbria for team meetings at least twice a month or as and when required. You will be working alongside the mortgage advisers and current paraplanners & admin team in assisting with mortgage applications and other tasks where required within the company.
