Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking
Mortgage Adviser
to play a key role in the continued growth of our Financial Services offering across the South West.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than a standard adviser role. You will be at the forefront of
building and developing the mortgage proposition within a thriving property group
, working closely with our established sales, lettings and block management teams.
You will have access to a substantial and diverse client base, including
buyers, landlords and leaseholders
, alongside the autonomy to think creatively, grow the business and help shape the future Financial Services team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compliant mortgage advice to a broad range of clients
Proactively develop mortgage business from across the wider property group
Work closely with existing sales teams across all offices to maximise opportunities
Leverage an extensive database of buyers, landlords and block clients
Identify and create new revenue streams through innovative and "outside the box" thinking
Maintain excellent client relationships with a strong focus on service and outcomes
Ensure all advice, documentation and processes meet FCA and regulatory requirements
Contribute to the development and future structure of the Financial Services team
Travel to other offices across the South West as required
Regulatory & Compliance Requirements
Mortgage Advisers
must
:
Hold
CeMAP (or equivalent)
- mandatory
Be
registered with the FCA
, either via a Directly Authorised (DA) or Appointed Representative (AR) firm
Complete a
minimum of 35 hours CPD per year
, including ethics
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Proven experience as a Mortgage Adviser
Strong understanding of the residential and buy-to-let mortgage market
High level of professionalism, integrity and compliance awareness
Desirable:
Experience working closely with estate agency or property teams
Commercial mindset with a passion for growth and development
Ability to self-generate and maximise internal leads
