The adviser will develop strong client relationships, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to business growth through proactive lead management and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough fact-finding with clients to understand their mortgage and protection needs.
Provide compliant advice on a range of mortgage and protection products.
Research lenders and insurance providers to recommend suitable products.
Manage the full application process, from initial enquiry through to completion.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and repeat business.
Work towards personal and team sales targets while maintaining excellent compliance standards.
Keep up to date with industry, product, and regulatory changes.
Maintain accurate and timely client records in line with GDPR and FCA regulations.
Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other third parties to ensure smooth case progression.
Actively generate new business through referrals, networking, and marketing initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lenders, and protection policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
Customer-focused with a consultative sales approach.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.
Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven.
Ability to build long-term client relationships and generate referrals.
Strong IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
CeMAP (or equivalent) qualification.
Proven track record in advising on mortgages and protection.
FCA regulated environment experience.
Desirable:
Previous experience working in a brokerage, estate agency, or bank.
Established network of introducers or client base.
