Overview

We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our friendly & professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out MOT's on Class 4s & 7s. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and a keen eye for detail to develop their career within a professional environment. We have a brand new insulated workshop with state of the art equipment opening in the new year. Have a look on social media. Company vehicle also supplied with fuel allowance. 45 Hour week with an opportunity for overtime.

Duties

Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements Perform pre-inspection checks to identify potential issues before testing Accurately record test results and provide clear reports to customers or management Identify faults or defects and advise on necessary repairs or maintenance Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration standards are met Keep detailed records of all inspections and tests carried out Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all testing procedures

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle inspection Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicles or parts during inspections Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate testing and reporting Good organisational skills to manage multiple inspections efficiently Effective communication skills for explaining test results clearly to colleagues or customers
