MOTOR CONTROL EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER



Join Our Team



We are seeking an experienced Motor Control Embedded Software Engineer to join our team on a project focused on developing advanced electronic control systems for precision movement and load handling in demanding environments. The role involves designing, implementing, and validating embedded software to meet stringent safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and maintain embedded software for electronic control systems. Ensure compliance with functional safety standards (ISO 13849) and relevant regulations. Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with control hardware. Conduct software validation and verification, including unit and integration testing. Support compliance activities for EMC, FCC, and CE marking requirements. Prepare technical documentation for software design and validation.

Essential Skills & Experience



Proven experience in embedded software development for safety-critical systems. Proven experience in motor control design in hydraulic and Sepex motors Experience with

CAN bus

,

serial communication protocols

, and hardware interfaces. Expert in C/C++ for microcontrollers and real-time systems. Knowledge of functional safety principles and standards (ISO 13849 or IEC 61508). Experience with CAN bus, serial communication protocols, and hardware interfaces. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development lifecycle tools and processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent ability to break down task estimates and a strong willingness to drive projects to completion Familiar with waterfall/Agile development process Problem solving and trouble-shooting capabilities 7 years + working as an embedded engineer A background in electronics, possibly from degree education

Required Qualifications



Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics (or equivalent). Experience with RTOS and embedded development tools. Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and risk assessment methodologies.

Desirable



Good understanding of cyber security principles and technologies foe embedded systems Knowledge of MISRA C guidelines and coding standards for safety-critical software.
