What the Role Typically Involves:

Conducting vehicle inspections both in the field and remotely to assess repair viability, cost control, and safety compliance. Supporting claims teams with fast, accurate technical advice. Auditing repair networks and suppliers to ensure quality and service standards. Investigating potential fraud and supporting liability decisions. Handling technical complaints and ensuring compliance with FCA and regulatory standards. Providing expert reports and, where necessary, attending court as a technical witness..

What We Look For:

At least 3 years' experience in motor vehicle estimating or engineering. Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, repair methods, and estimating tools. Excellent communication skills--able to explain complex technical issues clearly. Analytical, numerate, and confident in decision-making. Comfortable working independently in a field-based role. Basic understanding of insurance principles and cover types. PC literate and ideally a member (or working towards membership) of the IAEA. Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight.
