Main Responsibilities as Motor Engineering Apprentice:
As a Motor Engineering Apprentice, you'll be learning from the best while developing both technical and non-technical skills through the Thatcham VDA Apprenticeship. You'll support our engineering team in managing vehicle assessments, repairs, and total loss evaluations--ensuring safety, quality, and cost control every step of the way.
You'll gain hands-on experience in:
Assessing vehicle damage and preparing repair estimates
Conducting remote desktop inspections
Liaising with repairers and suppliers
Investigating claims and identifying potential fraud
Supporting liability decisions with technical insight
What You'll Learn:
Motor vehicle construction, diagnostics, and repair methods
Vehicle valuation and damage estimating
Insurance law and claims handling
Communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
How to work towards becoming an Appropriately Qualified Person (AQP)
