Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on motor vehicles
Diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate tools and techniques
Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
Collaborate with team members to optimise maintenance procedures and improve efficiency
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and pneumatic tools
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical maintenance are desirable but not essential
