Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and techniques Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, bearings, hydraulic systems, and electrical parts Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar technical role Strong mechanical knowledge across various machinery types Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical or electrical fields are desirable but not essential
